Applying to Year 2

The 2nd year of NS is open to those who have successfully completed the 1st year. This means they must have met all the requirements needed to receive a Certificate from Algonquin College (over and above the regular NS Certificate).

Graduates from any previous NS year are eligible to apply, not just the most recent one.

To apply to the 2nd year of NS, you need to fill out an application form and fax it to us in Ottawa. The NS fax number is 1-613-244-0058.

Applications should be submitted by April 30th

Eight to ten 2nd year students are selected each year. Selection is made on the basis of performance during the 1st year at NS. This includes not only academic performance, but also a student's ability to establish a lifestyle in Ottawa that will support their success in a 2nd year. Relevant work or educational experience since graduation is also taken into account.
