It is recognized that students will come to the course with
varying levels of proficiency in reading, writing and speaking
skill areas and with varying dialectical backgrounds. Individual
assessments will take place at the beginning of the course
and learners will be grouped together for appropriate levels
of instruction. Using the Inuit Cultural Institute writing
system, phonology and morphology studies will be covered in
all levels. Typing in Inuktitut will be introduced using UNICODE
as well as familiarizing with different Inuktitut fonts such
as NAAMAJUT, NUNACOM, and PIGIARNIQ.
