OPTIONAL COURSES Students in the final term are able to take an optional course at Algonquin College or one of the universities in Ottawa. They also have the option of taking an on-line course from the University of the Arctic. The purpose of these optional courses is to let students sample an area of future interest before committing themselves to an entire program. It is also lets them experience the reality of life in a big post-secondary institution.
