INUKTITUT II

"In part of this course being a continuation of Inuktitut I , especially in the areas of dialectology and language development, students will do a research project on a chosen cultural topic. This research project will cover all areas of the Inuit culture whether it is about the land, it’s people, it’s animals, traditions, and beliefs from the past as well as present situations.

Translation and interpretation from English to Inuktitut and vise versa will be introduced where students will be translating simple sentences. Interpreting practices will be by way of oral presentations.

Inuit stories and legends will be used for reading, writing and speaking excercises."
